Q: What are “Diffusers” and how do they work?

Plain and simple, ‘’ A Diffuser’’ is what creates a way to fill the air in a space with tiny, breathable particles of beneficial essential and sweet smelling fragrance thereby giving the room a calmer, more pleasant-smelling ambience. There are 4 methods/types of diffusers and we currently carry 2 types—Reed diffusers & car diffusers.

Q: How do I use my Reed diffuser?

Our Reed diffusers are already packaged for optimum usage, so all you need to do is;

Unpack the box, bring out the bottle, unscrew the cap and remove the plastic covering on the cap.
Insert the reed sticks that came in the box.
Turn over once (after about 10-15mins) to expose oil-soaked reeds to air, then the fragrance will begin to diffuse properly & oil will continue to wick up the reeds, scenting up your space for several months.
Remember to flip your diffuser reed sticks occasionally to refresh scent.

Q: How often should I flip my Reed Sticks?

You’ll need to flip your reeds regularly, especially when you notice the scent fading a bit or want an extra burst of fragrance. we however suggest every 2/4 days, to keep the scent fresh and fragrant. Keep in mind that the more your flip, the quicker the oil will evaporate.

Q: How long does the Diffusers last?

There are many factors that contribute to how long the oils last. Fans, humidity, air conditioning, heating, closed doors, open doors, temperature of the space etc. However, as a general rule, we found that our 100ml Reed diffuser will last for approximately 1-2 months and our 10ml car diffuser will last for approximately 30-40 days.

Q: How do I use my Car diffuser?

You can use your car diffuser in the following easy steps;

Open the wooden cap and remove the inner plastic stopper.
Screw the wooden cap (Do not screw too tightly).
Turn the bottle until the cap is soaked and then hang up the bottle on your mirror above your dashboard OR attach the neck of the bottle to your a/c vent clip & insert the clip into your vent.
Please do not fiddle with this car freshener while driving.
Remember to turn over your bottle to re-soak the cap whenever the scent is faded or fading.

Q: What are the benefits of using Diffusers?

Apart from the Obvious benefit of perfuming your space with a wonderful fragrance, there are other benefits of using a diffuser and they include:

Helps you relax.
Promoting feelings of calm.
Improves clarity and focus.
Boosts your mood.
Helps clear airways for easier breathing.
Encourages better sleep.
Helps ease mood swings during hormonal times.

Q: I can’t seem to smell my diffuser scent as strongly as it was when I first got it. Does this mean the diffuser I got isn’t long lasting?

All our diffusers are pure oil based and have longer staying power. When this happens you should check the following;

That you frequently flip your reeds over & also the wooden cap of your car diffuser.
If you’ve flipped your reeds & you still can’t seem to smell your fragrance strongly, perhaps you’re trying to scent too large of a room. You might need more than one bottle of reed diffuser placed in opposite corners- for optimum results. Also, if your room has an active A/C, air exchange system or frequent door opening to the outside, it may effect results.
If you’ve checked all of the above, and they are not the case, NOT TO WORRY, you are simply experiencing what is called ‘sensory adaptation’ or ‘nose blindness’ as it’s commonly known. This is an element of human physiology that basically means “you can get used to things’’ & we’re much more likely to notice changes in our environment than the things that stay the same.

So just because you can no longer smell the fragrances as ‘strongly’ as when you 1st got them, doesn’t mean it’s not good or that it’s not strong enough, because the “newness” of a smell can fade, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not working.
