Q: What is the difference between Perfume Oils and Perfume?
Perfume oils last longer and are stronger than perfume, unlike Eau de toilettes (EDTs) or Eau de Parfum (EDPs) which have alcohol that break down the perfume oil over time. The fragrance from perfume oils last longer on the skin than perfumes with alcohol because it is more concentrated. The concentration of perfume oils in perfumes are below:
- Eau Fraiche (Usually 3% or less perfume oil)
- Eau de Cologne (2 - 5% perfume oil)
- Eau de Toilette (4 - 10% perfume oil)
- Eau de Parfum (8 - 15% perfume oil)
- Soie de Parfum (15 - 18% perfume oil)
- PARFUM or Perfume (15 - 25% -- also sometimes referred to as extract or extrait)
As a result, when you use our perfume oils, the perfume oil will be much stronger than a perfume with alcohol. A little dab of our perfume oil could be as strong as 3 sprays of perfume. If it's your first time trying our products, apply only a dab at first until you find the best strength level of fragrance for you.
Q:Are your oils uncut?
Our Perfume Oils are 100% pure & super grade A oils. No alcohol or water has been added.
Q: Why are your perfume oil prices higher than that of other many competitors/vendors who sell inexpensively?
There are different grades of oils-the cheaper the grade, the less expensive the oil. “Grade A” oils, which are the only oils we sell, are the finest quality oils to be found, thus they are a bit more expensive than lower grades. Think of it like buying juice, concentrated juice with additives is much less expensive than pure organic juice derived straight from the fruits. Therefore, the old adage holds: “You get what you pay for!”
Q: How do I apply the perfume oil?
Please see here on how to apply your perfume oil.
Q: How long will my Perfume Oil scent last on me?
That depends on a number of factors such as; the type of fragrance you are wearing whether Oud or floral, how much you are wearing, what are you doing while wearing it, your unique body type, air temperature, humidity, and the fragrance itself. Because our oils are 100% pure oil, you can expect it to last a good while.
Q: What is the shelf life of your Oils?
Since our oils do not contain any alcohol or water, the problem of evaporation does not exist. As long as the oils are kept away from extreme heat and sunlight, they will last an extremely long time. The only detail that may change is the color. Some oils even develop a deeper scent over time, which is called marrying or maturing.
Q: Why does my perfume oil smell different from how it smells on my friend?
Your own body chemistry affects how different notes react on your skin. Anything that affects the "natural" smell of your skin, such as stress, hormonal changes, your current diet or medications, might change how a perfume smells on you.
Q: I can no longer smell my perfume oil on me anymore, why?
Our perfume oils are super grade A and have longer staying power. When this happens you should check the following;
- That you applied your perfume oil properly for maximum projection.
- If you’ve checked the above, and they are not the case, NOT TO WORRY, you are simply experiencing what is called ‘sensory adaptation’ or ‘nose blindness’ as it’s commonly known. This is an element of human physiology that basically means “you can get used to things’’ & we’re much more likely to smell a fragrance on ourselves when we 1st get them unlike after using them continually after our noses get used to the scent.
So just because you can no longer smell the fragrances as ‘strongly’ as when you 1st got them, doesn’t mean it’s not good or that it’s not strong enough, because the “newness” of a smell can fade, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not working.
Q: Can I resell your oils and other products?
You bet. In fact, we’d love it if you did! Just send us an email or call us to get started. We have very friendly wholesale packages.
Q: What is the difference between essential oil and perfume oil?
Essential oils are volatile, fragrant liquids extracted from plant leaves, bark, wood, stems, flowers, seeds, buds, roots, resins and petals, usually through steam distillation. In other words, they are raw materials that can be used to create perfumes. They are highly concentrated and apart from a few exceptions, should not be used directly on the skin, although they can be diluted in a carrier oil, such as jojoba, for such use. Perfume oils are fragrance components, natural or synthetic, in an oily base rather than an alcohol base, and can be used directly on the skin (THIS IS WHAT WE SELL).
Q: When will I receive my order?
We require 2 - 5 business days to prepare, process & dispatch your order. Once your order has been processed by us, we will drop off your package to our shipping partner. Shipping times can vary between 1-2 business days for locations in Lagos, 4 - 5 business days for other states in Nigeria and between 7 - 21 business days internationally.
As the COVID situation is ever-evolving, there may be further delays within the shipping provider.
Please refer to our shipping policy for more details on our process.
Q: Why does the color & smell of my perfume oil seem to change from time to time?
Depending on the season of the raw materials used to make the oils, oils will differ in color because of the crop season; since most oils have natural ingredients, the time of year they are created will have bearing on the color.
Q: Does the thickness or thinness of the perfume oil affect the quality or scent intensity of the oil?
No. Contrary to the popular sayings, thickness or thinness has absolutely nothing to do with oil quality or scent intensity. For example, White Musk is traditionally the thickest oil, but has a very mild fragrance. In contrast, Gucci Rush has a very thin consistency, but also has an extremely strong fragrance. The notion that thicker oil is synonymous with more intensely scented oil is a misconception. Only a handful oils are thick/dense than others, most oils have a thin consistency and this is as a result of the raw materials used to make them and these differ depending on the requirements needed to make the fragrance involved.
Q: Why is Quality very important, especially now?
Quality always sells regardless of how the economy is faring. People always remember and appreciate quality even if it may cost a bit more. During the last few months, many businesses have closed their doors or scale down because they could not generate enough sales to cover their overhead costs. The demand for their products was not great enough in these tough times. This is why we emphasize quality; because quality sells today, tomorrow, and forever. When you combine quality with a reliable price it is a winning combination that cannot be beaten. Never compromise quality in exchange for saving money or you will pay in the long run. Let the quality of the product sell itself, and you will always be successful.
We look forward to a fragrant relationship with you.
